Conquer Online involves many typical MMORPG features, such as PvP, quests and guilds. The entire Conquer Online , except for a few cities allows for unrestricted player-killing. A player usually accumulates 10 "PK points" for killing another player. However, killing an enemy guild member will result in only 5 PK points. Killing an enemy that is on your black list (he/she has killed you) killing him/her will result in only 5 PK points. These points give in-game NPCs (guards) reason to attack and kill player-killers. Points slowly decrease over time (1 PK Point per 6 minutes) even upon death. A player who has accumulated over 30 points will have a red-colored name tag and has the chance to lose equipment when killed by another player and lose almost everything in their inventory. However, non-equipped items can be lost by any sort of death. A player with over 100 PK points will have a black-colored name tag, and will always drop at least one piece of equipment, lose everything in their inventory, and be sent to jail, if they are killed by another player or NPC.
